Location
Capri with its 800 species of plant life has been likened to a "garden perched on a rugged chunk of limestone". Its cliffs, which have been cut and ravaged by time into fantastic shapes, create an unusual and dramatic landscape. Among the first to be captivated by the beauty of Capri were the Romans. Augustus, smitten by its splendour, exchanged the island for Ischia whilst Tiberius spent the last years of his life here.
One of the most famous sights of the island is the Grotto Azzurro, an extraordinary vivid blue that can be reached by boat from Marina Grande. In spring and summer glorious flowers grow everywhere and provide a most delightful profusion of colour. Several hundreds species of flora may be reviewed in the Gardens of Augustus, founded by Caesar himself..
The protestant church of Capri
This is a really lovely and ancient church located in one of the most enchanting and picturesque roads in town, the famous via Tragara. Catholic authorities no longer let foreign couples marry in Capri, therefore a religious wedding in this marvellous island kissed by the sun is a real privilege.
The church looks like a fairy tale with its interior all in pastel colours very delicate and bright. The exterior is in Gothic architecture in traditional Mediterranean style. Intimate and ideal either for small or big size parties.
The ceremony is conducted by an English-speaking priest. Spouses are requested to have a separate civil ceremony before the wedding, a civil ceremony that can be performed either in their country or Italy.
The church can be decorated with many flowers and our florist make remarkable things here.
