Weddings in Florence: the marriage hall.

Florence has the honor of first place among Italian cities for the magnitude of its artistic works. Down every street and alley you'll make new discoveries of Gothic, Romanesque and Renaissance architecture. Civil weddings take place in the majestic Palazzo Vecchio located in one of the world's greatest piazzas - Piazza della Signoria. Marriages are performed in the inner Sala Rossa (Red Hall) which is an incredible specimen of Renaissance decoration and furnishing: huge red drapes and gold-framed mirrors, antique chandeliers, gilded chairs upholstered in red silk and velvet. This hall evokes a sense of nobility and owe to those getting married here .

Only civil weddings are allowed. Weddings are performed by the Mayor of Town or Civil registrar. You can add personal vows, readings and poems to the ceremony. Ceremony last 20 minutes Weddings performed only on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Only morning weddings.
