Venice Weddings

Just a few steps from the impressive St Mark's Square, is one of Venice most charming and refined palaces. With its warm and friendly atmosphere, this former 17th Century palace offers elegant surroundings steeped in history. Major upgrading and expansion of this landmark canal-side hotel have resulted in a blend of Venetian elegance and contemporary design. The centerpiece of the restored original section is the convivial waterfront restaurant. A big, bright reception area, created by roofing an inner courtyard with glass, leads to the new rear section, which was once the Sala del Teatro Ridotto, a luxurious 17th-century gaming room, where Casanova was a habitué. The main salone and the private rooms that radiate from it are a glory of apricot, white and grey stucco above a magnificent terrazzo floor. It's almost worth staying here just to spend time in the sumptuous lounge with adjoining bar.

Wedding reception

The magnificent Sala del Teatro Ridotto (the main event hall) in the noble floor with its glorious pastel colour frescos and stuccos and elegant decor is the ideal setting for a special event in style. It houses the excellent Grand Canal Restaurant.
The Restaurant is much frequented by Venetians and offers many Venetian specialities and fine international cuisine. The cuisine offers the very best food in Venice. Dishes capture the taste and tradition of the finest Venetian and Italian Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant is famous for fish specialities but also for its pastas and Venetian dishes, and always uses simple, seasonal ingredients and fresh produce from the local market. An excellent sommelier is always on hand to guide you through a range of famous Italian and international wines and some very good wines from the Veneto area. The comfortable furnishings and the impeccable service create a very refined and pleasant ambiance.
Small intimate receptions can be set upon request in the beautiful Terrace Restaurant facing the Grand Canal, the Salute Church and San Giorgio Island.

A pianist is available during the reception in the restaurant. Possibility of life music upon request until midnight.
