Atrani is a small picturesque village on the Amalfi Coast. It is situated in a small inlet, between sheer cliffs and the sea, at the mouth of the Valley of the Dragon. In times gone by, the village was the traditional residence of the noble families of Amalfi. The church of S. Salvatore de Birecto, which dates from the Xth Century, reconstructed in the 1810 with prestigious bronze doors is worth a visit, along with the XIIth Century church of S.Maria Maddalena. In the evening small fishing boats set out for the night, their lamps illuminating the sea like the stars in the night sky.
This is a very special location on the Amalfi coast for Catholic weddings in Italy
