Bride and groom’s vision of a destination wedding in Italy is always different as Italy really offers so many different prospective that mixed with the personality of the spouses, which are all the time different too, it creates an unique merge of “pictures”, “images”, colors, sensations…
Expectations should be accomplished since the early stages of planning with informative options and tailoring our information to you to your personal comments and visualization of the Italian wedding you dream.
The selection of the perfect venue is the main initial step of the wedding planning, but this can also be considered a second step as long as the bride and groom have a more detailed idea and dream. It can be a theme or just an image to visualize: if you feel this is your case, than the first step is clearly work on your feelings and secondly matching these “dreamt” feelings into a real Venue.
The following Italy real wedding is a good example of what I meant.
Anna and David were looking for a venue in Italy for their wedding with about 80 guests, mostly from USA. Their initial request was to find a location near Milan thinking that this could be the perfect airport base for their guests to travel to Italy so they could also stay in one only hotel.
After a phone conversation, we found out that Anna and David had a clear vision though. They wanted a wedding in Italy, in a castle or villa, by the water, with a sunset very casual outdoor Italian wedding ceremony, in a “out of common track” venue.
Milan was not their case as there are no sea views, nor charming castles and villas by the sea, nor a place to really be considered “out of common track”. What happened is that we planned their wedding near Venice, at about 2 hours from Venice, in an incredible castle on the sea, with their guests lodging in many small b&bs and hotels of the area.
Initially they were afraid for the logistics and they were looking for a different location for their wedding, not considering their own dream. The wedding was a success! I can assure it could have not been as good for them and for all their guests, if they would have not followed their own dream, their vision, their “interior” love.
Often the vision and the location you have in mind are already perfect, but if you are not sure, let’s talk a bit together. It is your wedding in Italy. It is your big day.
