Alexia and Steven

'Believe in love. Believe in magic. Hell, believe in Santa Clause. Believe in others. Believe in yourself. Believe in your dreams' (Jon Bon Jovi, singer)

The beginning of a planning can sometimes be knotty. Alexia and Steven had 200 guests to accommodate and please, and a bag full of their own wishes for the big day. Choosing the right location from many is the same thing an artist does with their work, they translate a mental concept into the material world. This task gets easier for the minds used to this type of creative thinking, or the ones who are free from stress performance.

Once we got over this big hill, meetings became fun and the focus was on the details. This was not our first rodeo, but dealing with a traditional wedding meant that we needed to be aware of all the Jewish customs making the ceremony.

Turning dreams into reality

Steven's tish ceremony, a reception-type moment before the real ceremony which is held for the bride and groom separately was staged in a very special room of the villa. It's a small studio-library room with some of the richest moments of the past, black and white photos of the estate, previous owners and stolen shots of life in the Tuscan countryside. The Rabbi signed off the Ketubah and his friends exploded in a loud clapping sound cheering on his luck in finding a sweetheart like Alexia.

The dancing moments of the wedding were spectacular. Yes, it's tradition but this group certainly exceeded all expectations. We loved to witness how much life went into the celebrations, and we couldn't just stand on the sidelines and watch - we were by their side, dancing, till the very end. Mazel tov!

The tip of the day

The fattoria chosen by Alexia and Steven went out of their way to accommodate all the dietary requirements of the group, and even procured a kosher wedding cake from a local business. Don't forget to ask your guests, and then inform us on their special needs. We work to ensure everyone gets the best of this experience, and you'll be amazed to see just how flexible chefs can be with food. (Almost) everything is made from scratch on the premises, so a little change is not a big deal and is received with the typical Italian shrug of the shoulders, which in local body language means 'Of course, no problem at all'.
