After Sonia from the WeddingItaly team planned my sister's wedding, my husband and I knew that hiring Sonia was the only way to go! We started our journey together with a phone call to discuss our tastes, what we we were looking for in a wedding experience, regions of Italy, etc. After that phone call, Sonia sent us some example venues and the very first one she sent was everything we had been looking for and more!
Throughout the wedding planning process, Sonia was attentive, organized, and level-headed. I am very detail oriented and opinionated. Sonia was always calm, reassuring, and organized to balance me out perfectly. One of the things I found most remarkable about Sonia was her ability to identify vendors that suited our style so well. I was very particular about flowers and wanted a specific style. She found an incredible florist whose style exactly aligned with what I wanted - among other incredible vendors.
Planning a wedding from abroad - during a global pandemic - is not easy, but Sonia always made us feel supported, heard, and informed. And while all these qualities are wonderful, her services are not just a nice-to-have, but truly a must-have. We got married in Umbria where many of our vendors did not speak English. Sonia's translation services were essential for contracts and discussing details. I also felt she always had our interests at heart and was willing to help negotiate or ask questions on our behalf.
Then after a year and a half of planning, Sonia shines during the wedding weekend. We had three days of events, storms in the forecast, and a variety of guest needs (including kids, dietary restrictions, etc.). Yet I never had to worry. Sonia anticipates day of needs with grace and a smile.
