Sarina and Eric

Isola del Garda

One fabulous venue for an intimate, luxury wedding

Little girls often dream about getting married in a castle, on a cliff by the ocean, in a romantic villa surrounded by gardens and flowers... Sarina was dreaming of a stunning lakeside Italian location with all of these details.

Offering peace, tranquillity and seclusion, we knew this fabulous Island would be the right fit for all the couple's requirements, and not to our surprise Sarina and Eric responded with excitement. This venue is a rare gem, and despite the magnitude and size of the villa, intimate ceremonies for up to 60 guests are also a viable option. One of the highlights here is clearly the award-winning Italian and English gardens featuring palm trees next to an array of colourful lake fruit trees such as persimmons, lemons, pears, pomegranates, olives, oranges, grapefruit, prickly pears, jujubes and capers.

Can you picture an Italian style wedding better than this?

The vision

Sarina and Eric' notes

This gorgeous couple knew well what they were after. They came to us explaining their vision, only to ask for optional villas that could match their dreams - without a list of places in mind. "No problem, we will find what you're looking for". If you're searching for an extra sophisticated venue and you're imagining your guests dancing by the lake waters in the night, there are really only a handful of exclusive wedding names worthy of visiting. Sarina and Eric shortlisted Isola del Garda and Villa del Balbianello on Lake Como, and were happy to go with Lake Garda. The beauty of the location is unprecedented even to the eyes of the locals. With a wedding program of two days of celebrations and the vast choice of accommodation around the lake we really felt that this party was going to be epic.

We loved Sarina's idea of a welcome lunch - giving guests the entire afternoon to discover the surroundings and relax before the big day. Another detail that was designed to facilitate the group was to schedule the wedding photoshoot before the ceremony, which meant that after the official I dos the party could get started without any further waiting time.

The five deal breakers for Sarina and Eric

  • Location: lakeside, elegant, luxurious
  • Ceremony: symbolic in a historical setting
  • Venue: secluded and private
  • Guests: a small gathering of international friends and family
  • Side notes: string quartet for the ceremony and lots of golden details are a "must"
placehold

The wedding plan

How did we pull it off

Every little detail was oozing classic elegance, the dining decor stunning in its hues of white, gold and crystal clear. Both the ceremony and the dinner took place in the Loggia, offering plentiful of photographic opportunities with its historic charm. The far reaching views of the lake accompanied Sarina and Eric's day from the very moment we saw them arriving at the island together on a vintage motorboat. So romantic!

For the closing part of the day, the gathering moved to the docks where they continued to celebrate in style and danced to the tunes of a DJ.

As they prepared to boat back to their homes for the night, they received special wedding favours packaged with Sarina and Eric's names and an assortment of Italian confetti, a well wish of long life, fertility and health for the married couple.
