Hi! I just wanted to say again how much Dec and I appreciate all the hard work and effort you and the rest of the team put into to making it a great day and of course to use a cliche, one that we'll never forget. It really couldn't have gone better...even the lamp falling off the wall in the church when Fr Francesco talked a little too long in his homily :) and the fact that I could not light a candle to save my life.
We're still hearing so many compliments from family and friends, especially about the flowers, food and music which is great to hear. From a personal point of view, I was completely overwhelmed, especially the singers and organist in the church...I was pretty calm until I heard Delibes and then I lost it (the most nervous bride in the world - Dec thought I was going to collapse halfway up the aisle). People were even asking how we got the flowers up to the top of the pillars so they've heard lots about the ladder problems. All I'll remember is the beautiful sunflowers everywhere I could see.
I won't make this a long email, but I was so impressed with everything. The flowers, my bouquet(which was fabulous) the music, the singing in the villa and our fantastic DJ. The food and wine were so amazing and exactly what I wanted. Everyone is sending us photos of the ham from the canapes. Matteo and his team were unbelievably professional and charming and we loved the guys making cocktails - even the blue light behind the bar and the layout of the canapes and deserts was of such a fantastic standard. I just want to pass on my thanks to you, Alberto and Sonia and also to Rosaria, Matteo and all his guys, to Oreo and the trad band, to Lucca and Elia (? spelling correct) and of course Mr Deciani and the rest of the team in the villa who looked after us so well.
I had a great time and I hated to see you so stressed on my behalf but I hope in some way the day wasn't too crazy for you (its tough trying to get Dec out of the pool to get him married:)
Anyway, if you're ever in Dublin, please give Dec or me a call and we can meet up. It would be great to see you again and have a few drinks or a bite to eat without wedding stresses.
Thank you so much again for making everything I had in my head a reality and doing it with such grace and thoughtfulness.
Ciao
Aoife
