Hi Sonia, the wedding day was fantastic. Everything went so smoothly I was shocked. I am sure you were working extremely hard behind the scenes but the result was a superb wedding. Every single one of our guests had an amazing time and it completely surpassed any expectations that Mark and I had. I thought the florist did an amazing job with the flowers, my bouquet was exactly like the picture I gave her but still managed to look better than the picture. The room where we had dinner was dressed beautifully and looked far better than any pictures we had seen. The catering staff, I have to say, did an excellent job. Every guest, without exception, remarked on them. They were efficient, polite, discrete, professional, enthusiastic and friendly. The food was outstanding, the canapes were unbelievable, the dinner was superb. After all of that, they then worked hard at the reception. It was a long and hard day for them but they remained the same the whole time. Everything was great. Some of our guests have even said it was the best wedding they had been to. Duino is a gorgeous quaint village and the people who lived there even helped us. Mrs Mariella helped me to organise a trip to a vineyard the day before the wedding and she even drove Mark and myself there herself. The people at the vineyard were lovely, the food was great and they made us feel welcome. The people who work in the restaurant on the bay (where we had coffee I can never remember the name), chatted and laughed with us all when we went for dinner and, even though we probably took over the restaurant on more than one occasion and created a lot more work for them, it didn't show. In fact, when we left Duino the next day I was quite sad as I felt almost at home there. It was a pleasure to organise our wedding with you and you are the perfect person to do such a job. It is an amazingly personal thing to try and pull together but you managed to capture exactly what Mark and I wanted. Everything from start to finish was fun, you dealt with any queries or concerns that we had promptly and helped us find a resolution. You are amazingly helpful and I thoroughly enjoyed "working" with you. Sometimes the obvious is overlooked, but it has to be said that, without you, none of the above would have taken place in the way that it did. Our trip around Italy after the wedding was great. We visited Rome, Positano and surrounding towns, we managed a day in Capri and then we flew to Sardinia. It was a mad dash from destination to destination but we managed to pack in a lot of sightseeing, we ate some beautiful food, drank some great wine, saw some amazing sights and at the very end found some time to relax! Italy is a breathtakingly beautiful country and was perfect for both our wedding and honeymoon. Warm regardsJackie
