We wanted to write to you to thank you properly for our beautiful wedding in Lucca in August 2009. We have no hesitation in recommending you and 'Wedding Italy' to other British couples wanting to get married in Italy.
When we first approached various wedding planners we were a bit disappointed that most companies didn't seem to understand that we wanted a very simple wedding, they wanted us to look at castles and huge villas and have caterers. Whilst I'm sure this would be lovely it wasn't the day we wanted. You, on the other hand, seemed to understand our requests perfectly and everything we asked for, you organised beautifully.
It was great meeting Helga a few days before the wedding and she made us feel at ease during the official signing of the paperwork. On the day everything ran very smoothly. I was so happy with the hairdresser and the transport company were all on time and my car was fantastic - it was a really great experience driving to Lucca getting some 'beeps' off everyone . The Town Hall where we had the ceremony in Lucca was stunning - even more amazing than the photographs.
Our photographer was really nice. We really enjoyed going on the walk around Lucca with her - she was very funny! ...and when we received the disc of the photos on our return we really appreciated what a great job she did. The photos are so important and we couldn't be happier with them.
The restaurant that we walked to afterwards (Buca di Sant'Antonio) was superb. They set up drinks and canapes outside (I think Helga requested this), then we had our own room for the 20 of us. It was great service and great food. Also, the wedding cake was gorgeous - I hope I get to taste something like that again!
We both have such great memories of being on holiday with our closest family and friends and having such a special wedding day in the middle of it all! Thank you for all of the planning that you did for us. I wish I could ask you to do it for us every year!
