I would certainly recommend Wedding Italy to anyone considering a wedding abroad. We truly felt like a King and Queen for the day, the people of Venice made our day so special.
Ciao Sonia!
Back home in Scotland after a glorious time in Venice!
We weren't sure if we would actually make it to Venice as my mother is terminally ill. However, she remained stable so we were able to make the trip. After the dramas with lost luggage and my witness missing her flight, it all turned out good!
Venice was such a stunning location for our wedding - apart from a short shower in late afternoon, the weather was perfect! As we had a small wedding party, it was very informal, and our guests particularly enjoyed the attention we got strolling through the streets of Venice. I think the 2 men in kilts might have had something to do with that! We had spontaneous applause, lots of tourists asking to take photos, and in St Mark's Square, one of the cafe orchestras even treated us to a spontaneous burst of Mendelssohn's Wedding March! Needless to say, we had to stop there for some prosecco!
Palazzo Cavalli was the perfect setting for the ceremony - the Italian Official was very warm and welcoming, as was Luisella, our translator. She helped to settle some of our pre ceremony jitters! During the ceremony, both of them struggled with our surnames, which was amusing to all - have you ever seen the British film 'Four Weddings and a Funeral'? Reminds me very much of this! The murano glass present was a wonderful and unexpected gift!
The support I recieved from Wedding Italy to plan our wedding was just right - with your guidance, we got all the legal guidance in place. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous. You were there at the end of the phone to settle my frazzled nerves when my witness missed her flight!
I would certainly recommend Wedding Italy to anyone considering a wedding abroad. We truly felt like a King and Queen for the day, the people of Venice made our day so special. Hopefully you will see that in the photos that I've sent to you!
Once again, thank you for all your help in making our special day spectacular!
