The marvellous terrace spread out before the Castle is dominated by the fortified twelfth century tower, its most ancient part. The visitor immediately senses an aura of protection from these ancient walls, along with the warmth of the light that streams through the vast windows along the sides of the little cloister and pervades the broad corridor that runs along the entire perimeter.
For centuries a private residence, today the castle is open to the public, offering accommodation in its bedrooms, and in apartments created by restoring the farmhouses of the estate, which boasts more than 100 hectares of vines, olive groves and woods. The castle sleeps 40 + 8 guests in 11 fantastic rooms for 22 guests and in 5 beautiful apartments for other 18 guests at a few steps from the castle in separate country villas (minimum stay 3 nights).
Ceremonies can take place either in the private chapel on site or in the garden with view. Its fortunate position, lying between Florence and Siena, makes it a perfect base for a civil or Catholic wedding in Tuscany in any of the ancient medieval towns of the Chianti.
Receptions for up to 70 guests may take place either in the rear garden or in a beautiful inside room.
The castle is a famous wine producing estate. In foot walk distance there is a lovely restaurant on site with excellent cuisine where your guests can eat during their stay or where you may hold your reception if you don’t want to rent the castle as wedding venue (max. 40 guests) in exclusive use.
