How we suggest a wedding vendor.
At a certain level, planning a wedding in Italy stops being about logistics and becomes about one thing: can you trust the person choosing on your behalf? You are not looking for someone who can hand you a list. You are looking for someone whose taste, judgment, and honesty you can rely on, especially for the decisions you are not there to make yourself.
Wedding table décor
Make your table shine
We have seen wedding tables being featured in photo albums as much as the guests themselves. Big reason to plan ahead on how the final décor will look like when all the centerpieces and dinner sets will be laid out. Tablescapes speak loudly about your wedding feeling and the statement you wish to make on the day.
What do we expect from destination weddings in Italy in 2026 that you need to keep an eye out for?
How we actually choose
Every venue we suggest, we have walked through ourselves.
Every photographer, florist, or chef we recommend, we have worked alongside long enough to know how they behave under pressure, not just how their portfolio looks. That familiarity is what lets us say, sometimes, that a venue everyone is talking about is not the right one for a particular couple, even when it would be far easier for us to simply agree and move forward.
Kiana and Ryan came to us drawn to Tuscany, and we ended up recommending Tenuta Il Palagio, the estate once owned by Sting. It was not the obvious first suggestion on paper. It became the right one once we understood the relaxed, elegant celebration they actually wanted, rather than the one they thought they were supposed to want.
Why the honesty extends to how we are paid, too.
Part of trusting our judgment is knowing it is not quietly shaped by something else. We work on a combination of a planning fee and, in some cases, a disclosed commission from a venue or vendor- one that never changes what a couple pays. We say this plainly because a recommendation should hold up to that kind of scrutiny. If it would not, it is not a recommendation worth making.
When the right choice pays us nothing at all
Some of our favourite collaborations are with people who offer no commission whatsoever: a small, family-run estate, an independent photographer, a florist who works alone out of a single studio. Lara and Ian's Jewish destination wedding in Puglia, three days of celebration between vineyards and the sea, came together through exactly that kind of vendor, chosen because they understood the specific traditions the couple wanted honoured, not because of any arrangement behind the scenes.
Twenty six years of the same instinct
We have been doing this since 1999, long enough to have made this same judgment call hundreds of times, in favour of the couple, even when an easier or more profitable answer was sitting right there. That instinct, more than any single policy, is what we are actually offering you.
If you would like to talk through what we would genuinely suggest for your wedding, before anything else, we would love to hear from you.
