Carina and Gerry

Green hills be a witness to your wedding

Umbrian country house has Italian-chic wedding written all over it

On a hot summer day, Carina and Gerry celebrated their love in the private setting of Bastia Creti, a very chic country house in hearty Umbria.

With the upside of hiring the venue on an exclusive basis and after a quick look at the estate portfolio, Carina was 100 percent sure that this was where she would promise eternal love to her Gerry. The established wedding venue exudes stylish elegance in every corner, the Manor, the barn, and the many independent farmhouses-turned-accommodation apartments.

It simply doesn't get more Italian wedding than this!

The vision

Carina and Gerry's notes

When Carina and Gerry approached us, they were both very sure about what they wanted for their wedding, and both were in perfect agreement when it came to a yes or no. We put a lot of effort in shortlisting vendors that were offering only the best of the best, ensuring that beauty and flowers would be catered to their wishes - sourcing professionals even from out of town.

Lights and music, we were told, had a huge sentimental value for Carina and Gerry. The way they had envisioned their big day - and what made them also choose Bastia Creti - was the opportunity to dance their dances under a sky full of stars. For this reason, we organised the schedule for the dinner with a rythmic sequence of food, speeches and dancefloor time. What a beautiful personal touch!

Aurora and Sonia say planning the event with this goodlooking couple from Toronto was a lot of fun.

The five deal breakers for Carina and Gerry

  • Location: stylish and cozy
  • Ceremony: afternoon symbolic ceremony with their own celebrant
  • Venue: secluded and luxurious
  • Guests: 40 close family and friends
  • Side notes: big focus on details of aesthetics

The wedding plan

How we made it happen

The weekend celebrations kicked off with a bbq party hosted inside the secular Chapel the night before the wedding, as a way to welcome the whole group and share the growing excitment. We were so happy to see how nicely the dinner setup designed together with Carina had come out, with just the right amount of romantic elegance.

On the next day as the guests got off their bus early, they could enjoy a little time wandering around the property, and then finally reached the garden for the start of the ceremony. The bride was beaming as she walked down the lawn path on the soft music of Nuvole Bianche played live by a pianist we provided. Gerry waiting for her anxiously.

The ceremony was officiated by Gerry's brother, a very personal way for everyone involved to enjoy the closeness of this time andtears and smiles filled the rest of the afternoon. Another event full of love and emotions came to an end, but not before seeing the guests and the newlyweds dancing their hearts out on the outdoor dance area, an iron gazebo set up by us with hundreds of fairy lights illuminating the glossy floor.
