Kerry & Vincent

Four days, four visions, one unforgettable love story overlooking the sea of Taormina.

Kerry & Vincent’s Luxury Destination Wedding in Sicily at Villa Mon Repos

Some weddings last one day. Others become a journey.

Kerry and Vincent’s wedding in Italy was designed as a full immersion into the beauty, energy, and soul of Sicily, unfolding across four extraordinary events, all set in the iconic town of Taormina.

Travelling from New York, the couple wanted more than a ceremony. They intended to give their guests an authentic Italian experience, allowing them to truly live the destination rather than simply visit it. Taormina became the perfect stage, offering sea views, history, vibrant culture, and a rhythm that effortlessly blends elegance with joy.

From the very first welcome night on a sandy beach, it was clear this celebration would be anything but ordinary. Each event was thoughtfully designed to reveal a different side of Sicily, creating a continuous sense of discovery. Guests didn’t just attend a wedding. They experienced a destination.

The rehearsal dinner took place in an elegant restaurant overlooking the sea, where the light of sunset framed laughter, anticipation, and shared stories. The wedding day itself unfolded at the historic Villa Mon Repos, a rare gem in the heart of Taormina, offering panoramic views and the freedom to celebrate under the stars until late into the night. The experience concluded with a relaxed brunch the following day, allowing everyone to savour the final moments together.

This destination wedding in Sicily was vibrant, immersive, and deeply expressive. It celebrated love through colour, music, tradition, and togetherness. Every moment was infused with intention, yet nothing felt forced. The result was a celebration that felt alive, joyful, and unmistakably Italian. It is the kind of wedding that makes you think: “This is exactly how I want to get married in Italy.”

The vision

Kerry and Vincent's notes

Kerry and Vincent envisioned a wedding that felt bold, joyful, and deeply connected to place. Rather than choosing a single aesthetic, they decided to let each event tell its own story, creating a sequence of experiences that reflected different emotions, colours, and atmospheres.

The welcome dinner embraced vibrant tones, with fuchsia and bright pinks echoing the energy of a Sicilian summer night by the sea. The rehearsal dinner shifted into elegance, dressed in refined shades of blue, mirroring the horizon and the calm before the celebration.

The wedding day itself embraced a powerful Dolce & Gabbana-inspired style, a tribute to Italian fashion, passion, and unapologetic beauty. Yellow and white defined the following day’s brunch, recalling sunshine, citrus, and the warmth of Southern Italy.

Emotionally, the goal was to surprise, delight, and fully immerse guests in Sicilian culture. From handcrafted details to iconic imagery, every choice was intentional. Guests were meant to feel part of something vibrant and authentic, where tradition met contemporary celebration.

Floral designs by Noi Due Weddings brought texture and richness to each concept, while Lions Service Group curated structures and stage setups that supported music, movement, and flow across all events.

This vision speaks to couples dreaming of a luxury wedding in Italy that is expressive, immersive, and unforgettable. A celebration where style and soul coexist naturally.

The action plan

How did we pull it off

Designing a four-event destination wedding in Sicily required strategic planning, deep local knowledge, and seamless teamwork. The first essential decision was to keep all venues within Taormina, allowing guests to experience the city without long transfers and fully embrace its rhythm.

Before the wedding day, curated activities were organised to deepen the guest experience. Some explored the volcanic landscapes during a wine tour on Mount Etna, others wandered through the historic streets of Ortigia, while many enjoyed a relaxed afternoon at one of Taormina’s trendiest beach clubs. These moments transformed guests into travellers, creating shared memories before the wedding even began.

At Villa Mon Repos, logistics and design worked hand in hand. Guests were welcomed with pre-ceremony drinks in the garden, allowing anticipation to build. The symbolic ceremony took place directly by the infinity pool, where the horizon seemed to merge with the sea, creating a setting that felt both intimate and grand.

Cocktails flowed naturally into dinner in the garden, where handcrafted Sicilian details took centre stage. Traditional lace centrepieces, a tribute to local craftsmanship, decorated the tables.

A Dolce & Gabbana-style wedding cake became a visual icon of the celebration. A vintage Fiat 500 offered playful photo opportunities, while a granita cart and gelato station delighted guests throughout the evening.

Music played a crucial role. An international live band carried the energy through the night, transforming the villa into an open-air celebration beneath the stars. Every transition was carefully timed, every supplier aligned with the overall vision.

This is WeddingItaly's planning: complex logistics made effortless, creativity supported by precision, and experiences designed to feel natural, emotional, and unforgettable.
