Where Tuscan elegance meets timeless love and ancient traditions.

Kiana & Ryan – A Luxury Destination Wedding in Tuscany at Tenuta Il Palagio

Some weddings in Italy are defined by beauty. Others by emotion. Kiana and Ryan’s wedding was defined by both, woven together in a two-day celebration set in the rolling hills of Tuscany, at one of the most iconic private estates in the country: Tenuta Il Palagio, the historic home of Sting and Trudie Styler.

Traveling from Los Angeles, USA, the couple dreamed of offering their guests not just a wedding day, but a complete immersion into the Italian lifestyle. Their intention was clear from the very beginning: two days of magic in Tuscany, where elegance, intimacy, culture, and joy could unfold naturally, moment after moment.

The choice of Tenuta Il Palagio could not have been more perfect. This sixteenth-century estate, nestled among the vineyards of Chianti near Figline Valdarno, offers breathtaking views over the countryside, a warm and refined atmosphere, and five-star services that elevate every experience. It is a place that feels timeless, where history and nature coexist in perfect harmony.

From the welcome moments to the final dance, every detail of this wedding in Tuscany was designed to make guests feel transported. The rhythm of the celebration flowed effortlessly, moving through different spaces of the estate, each revealing a new perspective, a new emotion, a new surprise.

Kiana and Ryan’s wedding was also a beautiful meeting of cultures. Alongside Italian elegance, the ceremony included Persian blessings, incorporating symbolic elements such as honey and a silk cloth, adding depth, meaning, and spirituality to the moment they said their vows.

As the Tuscan sun set behind the vineyards and the estate lit up with chandeliers, music, and candlelight, it became clear that this was not simply a destination wedding in Italy.

It was an experience crafted with intention, heart, and impeccable planning. And reading their story, one cannot help but think: “This is how I want to get married in Italy.”

The vision

Kiana & Ryan's notes

The vision for Kiana and Ryan’s wedding was rooted in elegance, intimacy, and storytelling. Every moment needed to feel curated yet natural, luxurious yet deeply personal. The couple imagined their celebration as a journey through textures, colors, and emotions, inspired by Tuscany itself.

The experience began with a welcome dinner styled in an equestrian, Ralph Lauren–inspired aesthetic. Clean lines, green and white tones, and refined details set the tone for an elegant introduction to the weekend. This was a nod to classic sophistication, perfectly in tune with the estate’s heritage.

The wedding day itself shifted into a richer, more decadent mood. The design embraced autumn textures and colors, featuring white florals, dark berries, seasonal fruits, natural stones, and warm tones that echoed the Tuscan landscape. The result was romantic, abundant, and sensorial, a celebration that felt grounded in nature while elevated by design.

The emotional core of the wedding was intimacy. With a carefully curated guest list, every person present felt involved, connected, and part of something meaningful. The inclusion of Persian ceremonial elements, such as honey and silk, added layers of symbolism and cultural depth, making the ceremony profoundly moving.

The floral and decorative design enhanced each space without overpowering it, allowing the beauty of Tenuta Il Palagio to remain the true protagonist. The vision was not about excess, but about harmony.

The result was a luxury wedding in Italy that felt timeless, emotional, and deeply memorable, inspiring anyone dreaming of an elegant destination wedding in Tuscany.

The action plan

How did we pull it off

Planning Kiana and Ryan’s wedding required a thoughtful balance of creativity, logistics, and emotional sensitivity, all key elements of the WeddingItaly method.

The experience was designed across two days, beginning with a pizza party among the vineyards of the estate. Guests gathered in one of the Palagio properties for a relaxed yet stylish evening, featuring live pizza show cooking, beautifully decorated tables, soft lighting, unlimited gelato, and a folk band playing traditional Italian songs. This welcome moment immediately immersed everyone in Italian culture, setting a joyful and authentic tone.

On the wedding day, preparations unfolded calmly and privately. The bride got ready with her mother and close friends, while the groom prepared with his family, allowing both to fully enjoy the anticipation of the day. Guests arrived in the afternoon and were welcomed with refreshing cocktails in shaded areas of the estate before being guided to the ceremony.

The symbolic ceremony took place on the iconic chess terrace, with panoramic views over the Tuscan countryside. The inclusion of Persian traditions brought emotional depth, particularly during the honey and silk rituals, which moved many guests.Following the ceremony, the celebration flowed into a poolside aperitivo, then into a majestic garden transformed by elegant chandeliers for dinner. The atmosphere was magical. One of the most special details was the wine served during dinner, produced directly by Sting’s vineyard, adding a unique and unforgettable touch. As night fell, guests returned to the terrace for cake cutting, dancing, and a spectacular surprise: fireworks lighting up the Tuscan sky. Kiana and Ryan also enjoyed a private moment driving through the estate in a vintage Mercedes 190, capturing timeless photographs among the vineyards.

A particularly touching moment occurred when the bride’s mother danced to Persian music during the reception, blending generations, cultures, and emotions into one unforgettable scene.

This is how WeddingItaly creates extraordinary weddings in Italy: by designing experiences that flow naturally, honor traditions, and transform dreams into reality.
