Katie and Mason

A quintessential Chianti dream

Wed in lavender-rosemary Tuscan prime style

Villa Medicea di Lilliano is a treasured choice for medium-sized and large weddings, so close to Florence that you can spot the notable Dome from the villa's iconic gardens. When you book this thousand-year old homestead you realise you're all in from the minute you visualise the green space covered in 12,000 olive trees and endless rows of local grapes on site.

I guess our future newlyweds got charmed by the not pompous, classic rural Tuscan design of the estate. The linear elegance and natural smells of local cooking favorites like lavender, rosemary and sage would be the perfect canvas for intricate flower work, tall candleware, fancy furniture. Always a privilege for us to work with the venue onsite team, Eric and the entire staff.

The vision

Katie and Mason's notes

Far from looking at the over-the-top, overwhelming, sumptuous venues that could carry an impersonal feeling, Katie and Mason went after the wonderful Italian rustic charm topped by the fresh country air effect and a rosemary-scented prime style. Besides being stunning, this villa offers practical rental and accommodation packages which we knew guests would get their hands on fast.

Katie came forward as a bride with a big focus on autumn colours, a brimming palette of oranges, full reds and shades of purple that brought life and passion to the villa.

We loved building trust with this cute duo. For some of us, making decisions for the single most important day in one’s life can cause pressure and a state of confusion, so working together is key. As we followed the process step after step, we could really feel both Katie and Mason leaning on our expertise and this made our job such a pleasure.

The action plan

How did we pull it off

We had a wonderful time helping this bride and groom see their dreams of a destination wedding made in Tuscany in real life.

The stunning imperial wedding dinner wowing the guests, abundant wine flowing, spontaneous energy filling the place, the dreamy venue which was the backstage for the entire two-day event. The DJ was also one of the highlights of the party and let's save a mention for the great lighting effect helping the dinner setup look like one of those pulled from a fairy book.

For those of you wanting to add a little Hollywood glamour to your day, we wanna mention this fun idea that our groom had to surprise the love of his life. Mason got some movie icon printouts around the venue, and glued their two faces on them.

Make sure you head over to their featured review to get the other side of the story, and read some beautiful words of appreciation for our work.

Thanks dears.
