Kim and Edoardo

'For all Italian people, family is very important. We don't fight with our families' (Domenica Dolce, fashion designer)

We have a significant list of luxurious locations that can fit larger groups, but few can carry a sumptuous style with such understated pride as Villa Corsini. We totally aligned with Kim and Edoardo's idea of not giving everything upfront. The property had a lot of secret treasures to uncover, and they really wanted to share with their guests an experience so unique and memorable like that of celebrating in a Palace from past royalty.

Turning dreams into reality

The morning started early, Gianna the appointed hairdresser and two of her best stylists had a list of about 10 ladies to dress up before 12 o'clock, while our Helga was on the grounds to mediate the requests with her language skills and long experience. The preparation time is quite exciting, but the levels of stress are at the highest so it's a moment for us to keep everyone focused and centred. The symbolic wedding service and reception both took place outside, where the splash of colour coming from the voluminous floral arrangements complemented wonderfully the clean look of this royal estate - leaving the wow factor of the frescoed walls and Renaissance decorations as a surprise for those venturing indoors. A long list of courses and plentiful good wine followed, reaching the always touching moment of the speeches, where even the most cynical, passive individual can be spotted tearing up. The large number of guests across many ages seemed to appreciate every little bit of the day, and kept coming to us with words of gratitude. A beautiful reminder of why we love our job so much.

The fix of the day

Despite seeing Gianna the day before the event and trying out a couple of hair dos that Kim had really loved, on the morning of the wedding day she felt very overwhelmed and had doubts about her style choices. A little crisis is always forecasted on our schedules, and our partners are well acquainted with these circumstances. We let Gianna take the lead on this one, and she quietly swapped the names on her schedule to give Kim an extra hour to pull back and calm her nerves. A lone walk in the English garden below the venue and a serve of delicious local fruits on toast did the trick, and she was back with a plan B.
