Laura and Alfredo

An intimate Rome affair

Drag your 13 closest and get married in the ancient heart of Rome

It doesn’t matter if you have a small, sufficient or large event in mind. Destination events are all stress inducing, and feeling the support of a whole team of experts can transform your experience into a dream. Laura and Alfredo had, too, this feeling and acted on it in the best way: following their gut and reaching out to the most trusted professionals. When we got their call, our sweet Aurora jumped on the task and was ready to work alongside this gorgeous couple and understand every layer of their vision.

Here are the insights of their exquisite wedding day, touching some of the most privileged and majestic landmarks of the eternal city, prioritising elegance and class and sharing these precious moments in a very intimate setting.

The vision

Laura and Alfredo's notes

Aurora was tiredless in reassuring Laura and her fiancé about the process. Things rarely get messy on the job, but for someone with little knowledge about what goes into the planning and coordinating a wedding, we make it our priority to go over each step and pull the break whenever it’s needed.

The trust was built with a natural ease and we were truly blessed to be working with such kind souls. The only must in the picture was the date of 4 May, it’s nice to have the occasional fixed-date couple. It’s for this reason that we started the real planning a few months after our first contact, as soon as the town published the 2024 wedding calendar. When the number of guests is so limited, as a planner you know that the people standing there are the couple's absolute favorite, something to keep in mind throughout the whole experience. It was with this clear vision of having the 'best of the best' that our bride and groom made their choices, from music to the venue, to flowers and stationery, and the Michelin-star Aroma.

The action plan

How did we pull it off

From wedding vision to real life memory

When the day of the wedding finally was here, it was a very early rise for the team, Laura and Alfredo. We arranged for the photoshoot to happen at dawn, a busy city like Rome offers few options during the day when the number of tourists is manageable. We met the nervous bride and groom at the luxurious suite front-facing the Roman landmark, and started the shoot while they were getting ready and later on catching their romantic moments behind the wheel of a vintage Rolls Royce.

The most scenic musical entertainment arranged for the sunset dinner on the balcony with a surreal atmosphere being so close to the Colosseum, three outstanding performers held us captive from the moment the newly wedded walked through the door all the way to the cake.

The stationery, our personal favorite. We loved helping Laura find the right artist and witnessing the end result, which looked more like an exhibition piece rather than a temporary prop. We were  blessed to work alongside Auca design and proud to show the craftily illustrated golden menus and the floral welcome sign using real flowers.
