When love becomes an invitation to family, and Italy becomes home for everyone.

Nicole & Edgar’s Intimate Wedding in Puglia

Some weddings are born from a desire to celebrate. Others are born from a desire to give. Nicole and Edgar’s wedding in Italy was, above all, an act of love toward the people who matter most to them.

Having lived between Mexico and California, the couple chose Italy as the place where their families could finally come together in a new way. For many of their relatives, this was their first time in Italy, and Nicole and Edgar made a deeply meaningful decision: they covered all expenses so that everyone could share this experience without limits or worries. Their wedding was not just a ceremony. It was a gift.

With only 25 guests, the celebration felt intimate, warm, and profoundly connected. Everyone slept together, ate together, and danced together. There was no separation between families and friends, no formal distance between moments. Everything unfolded as one shared journey. The choice of Masseria Don Luigi reflected this intention perfectly. Rooted in tradition and surrounded by nature, the masseria offered the ideal setting for a wedding that felt authentic, relaxed, and deeply human. From the welcome pizza party to the ceremony and reception, every moment took place on site, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the rhythm of Puglia.

The symbolic ceremony was officiated by a close friend from New York, adding a layer of intimacy that no formal structure could ever replicate. Music, laughter, and shared movement became central themes, as families and friends joined in group dances inspired by South American traditions, celebrating not just the couple, but the joy of being together.

This intimate wedding in Italy was emotional without being heavy, joyful without being chaotic. It was sincere, generous, and unforgettable. The kind of wedding that reminds you what truly matters.

The vision

Nicola and Edgar's notes

Nicole and Edgar envisioned a wedding that felt simple, heartfelt, and inclusive. Their focus was never on spectacle, but on connection. Every guest needed to feel part of the story, not just present to witness it. The visual language of the wedding day embraced a classic white and green palette, timeless and elegant, perfectly aligned with the natural surroundings of the masseria. For the welcome dinner, the atmosphere shifted into something more playful and spontaneous. Starting from a yellow and white checkered tablecloth, the floral designer was given full creative freedom. That trust became one of the most successful choices of the entire celebration, resulting in décor that exceeded the couple’s expectations.

Emotionally, the goal was to create moments that felt natural and shared. Group dances brought everyone together, erasing any distinction between families and friends. Music became a bridge between cultures, memories, and generations. A key element of the vision was creative trust. By allowing professionals to express their expertise without excessive constraints, the couple created space for beauty to emerge organically. The result was a wedding that felt balanced, authentic, and deeply personal.

This vision speaks to couples dreaming of a destination wedding in Puglia where luxury is measured in emotion, generosity, and shared experience rather than formality.

The action plan

How did we pull it off

Planning Nicole and Edgar’s wedding meant building an experience that felt effortless for the guests, while being carefully orchestrated behind the scenes. The decision to host all events on site at Masseria Don Luigi immediately set the tone for intimacy and continuity.

The celebration began with a pizza party welcome dinner, relaxed and joyful, inviting guests to unwind after their journey and immediately feel at home. This informal start helped break any remaining distance between families, setting the emotional foundation for the days to come. The wedding day itself unfolded smoothly despite an unexpected challenge. Just before the ceremony, a sudden downpour arrived while everything was already set up. The team reacted instantly, protecting upholstered chairs and ensuring that nothing was compromised. Thanks to coordinated teamwork, the timing of the event remained unchanged, and the ceremony proceeded exactly as planned.

The symbolic ceremony, led by the couple’s close friend, was deeply personal. Champagne towers marked the opening of the celebration, followed by an aperitivo featuring food stalls that encouraged movement, conversation, and interaction. Music and dancing quickly took over, with South American group dances drawing everyone onto the dance floor, regardless of age or background. Throughout the evening, small moments carried powerful emotion. The only child present became the joyful mascot of the wedding, moving freely among guests. Later, during the party, a quiet and touching scene unfolded when an aunt carefully placed a family heirloom diadem on the bride’s head, passing down history and love in a single gesture.

As the night progressed, the full moon rose above the masseria, watching over a celebration filled with laughter, music, and shared memories. Tiramisù, one of the couple’s non-negotiables, made its appearance as a sweet and comforting finale. This is the WeddingItaly method: trust, preparation, and flexibility combined to create a wedding that feels natural, emotional, and truly unforgettable.
