Chiara

Bio

A bit about Chiara

Half Sicilian and half Tuscan, Chiara is our Senior Onsite Coordinator, and quite simply the soul of our team on the wedding day. Pure energy, warmth and passion define her, and nothing captures that spirit better than her great love for surfing. Not the most typical Italian pastime, true, but it says everything about the strength, calm and quiet determination she brings to every celebration she leads.

Chiara joined Sonia and the team back in 2023, growing steadily through every role along the way, from assistant coordinator to nighttime closures and side events coordination. By 2025, she had already become full-time coordinator for small and medium weddings, and today she embodies the very essence of a Senior Coordinator.

Years of dedication and hands-on experience have shaped her into a true presence onsite. Couples fall for her genuine warmth and effortless charm, feeling instantly at ease in her care. At the same time, our vendors cherish her graceful composure and her remarkable ability to turn any challenge into a beautifully resolved moment. Chiara is, in every sense, the graceful heart blossoming among our team of stars. 🤍

Skills

How I bring my A game to the team of WeddingItaly

I have been part of the WeddingItaly team since 2023, growing into my role as Senior Wedding Coordinator through hands-on experience and dedication. While the specialised training courses I completed gave me solid foundations to start with, it was truly working alongside Sonia, learning directly from her on the field, that shaped me into the coordinator I am today.

Each year I coordinate tens of weddings, mostly across Tuscany and southern regions, though whenever a couple chooses another region, or another country entirely, I simply pack my bags and go.

My role covers the full logistical coordination from start to finish, and I also take care of concierge services for couples arriving from abroad, whether that means flights, transfers, or simply a good recommendation on where to enjoy a beautiful dinner the night before the wedding.

If there is one thing I truly recognise myself in, it is problem-solving. I have yet to find an unexpected hiccup on a wedding day that cannot be resolved; sometimes it simply takes thinking a little faster than anyone expects. That quiet confidence, paired with genuine warmth, is what I bring to every couple and every celebration I have the honour of being part of.

Passions

My passions

I devour thrillers and fantasy novels, one after another, and my taste in TV series stays just as loyal to the genre. If there is an imaginary world with far too many rules to explain, I am already hooked.

Travelling is another constant in my life, and it has shaped my career too. I actually learned English on the field, working for a tour operator in Greece, a country I fell completely in love with and would return to tomorrow without a second thought.

But if you really want to know me, ask about the surf. It is where I choose my destinations, plan my free days, and honestly, where I feel most myself. It is not an easy sport, far from it. It has knocked me down more times than I can count and made me swallow more seawater than I care to admit, but it is exactly that challenge that keeps pulling me back. There is something about paddling out, waiting, reading the water, that mirrors the same instinct I bring onsite on a wedding day. Once it gets into you, it never really lets go.I love dressing well and eating even better, two things I never compromise on, whether it is a busy workday or a free evening.

The rest of my free time is dedicated to family, especially to my nephew, quite possibly the most demanding and most entertaining audience I have ever had.

There is so much I love about this work too, from the quieter moments spent in the office alongside my colleagues, to guiding our couples toward the wedding they have always imagined, and seeing them truly happy on their big day. Knowing I played a part in a memory they will carry forever never stops feeling special.

Greece, my love

I spent two incredible years in Greece, where I truly learned English while working with groups from all over the world, guiding them, showing them the water, and eventually teaching them to surf myself. It was there that English stopped being something I studied and became something I simply lived, day after day, on the beach and in the water.

What I loved most about that time was the melting pot of people I got to know. Travellers, guests and colleagues arriving from every corner of the world, each with their own story, their own way of seeing things. Being surrounded by so many different cultures and backgrounds opened my mind in a way nothing else could have, and it is something I still carry with me today.

Those two years shaped me more than I ever expected, and when the moment finally came, I returned home to my beloved Tuscany with a broader view of the world and a deeper understanding of people, something that has stayed at the very heart of how I welcome and take care of every couple I work with today.

What I love about Italy

  • the food
  • the niceness of people
  • the climate
  • the smiles of Italians
  • the aperitifs outside
  • the art
they say about her

We learned of Wedding Italy from a friend's older sister, who had used them a few years prior. I think the direct quote was "stop looking right now. Don't even bother talking to other planners. Just hire Sonia and her team, you wont regret it." We did just that, and we DEFINITELY don't regret a thing. Through covid we twice canceled trips to go see our venue, meet vendors, etc. and that created a lot of additional stress around planning - having to do everything virtual from a distance. The team at Wedding Italy handled every request seamlessly, and anticipated all the things we needed (but but were totally clueless about). Without their guidance, we would have been totally lost. Instead, we had a wedding that blew us away (and, from what we can tell EVERY ONE of our guests, too). A month later and I am still... speechless.
